The open Bible, with lighted candle nearby, is a reminder that our deliberations take place in the context of a sacred tradition. Just as was done so long ago in Jerusalem, so now we try to discern our call by the light of God’s inspired Word. The Bible is open to the Gospel of John.
The Chaplain for this Convention is available throughout the day for prayer and counsel.
