Having been presiding over a rapidly growing parish in our Diocese with a two decade career as an executive in corporations, I believe I have a unique position to help in selecting the right candidate for our next Suffragan Bishop. Balancing the fiduciary, the administrative and pastoral requirements that a Suffragan Bishop must have is not easy to find. With ten years in senior level executive search for the world’s largest firm, I do have some skills in this area.

There is no more important position in our Episcopal Church than that of Bishop. The likelihood is that our Diocese will be choosing a new Suffragan. With God’s help, we will choose someone who complements the gifts of our new Coadjutor, whoever that may be, and who will work with her or him as effectively as the members of the Trinity work together. Our Diocese is facing many challenges which will require an effective team. I would be privileged to be part of the committee to select the candidates for one member of that team. Through years of experience as a lawyer, community activist and parish priest, I have acquired the ability to assess people’s gifts and fitness for particular roles; I hope that you will choose to let me contribute my abilities to the Committee to Elect a Bishop.
